THE COMPANY

Patricio was born in Santiago de Chile, where he graduated as a Commercial Engineer from the Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences of the University of Chile. He held the position of Executive President and CEO of the airline LAN CHILE. During his term as CEO of LAN CHILE he produced the most substantial change experienced by the company and lead the restructuring process of the company which was created in 1929 and further founded the new LAN, SA on January 1, 1984. Today this airline is known as LATAM Airlines. This radical transformation gave the new company the opportunity to make a profit from the first day of operation, laying a solid foundation for what is today one of the most successful airlines of Latin America known for its efficiency and quality service worldwide.

During his term as CEO of LAN Chile, Patricio was elected President of the International Air Transport Association of Latin America, (AITAL today known as ALTA) for a period of five years. In 1992, he joined IATA in Latin America, first as Regional Director for Latin America and the Caribbean and later was named Regional Vice President for Latin America and the Caribbean based in Miami. During his period at IATA he made numerous significant transformations that placed the commercial aviation of Latin America in a position of leadership worldwide.

Upon his retirement from IATA in 2014, he continues to work intensely in commercial aviation, and founded AeroNex, a consulting company that specializes in providing advice to airlines, airports, and governments on matters of aviation and connectivity. Additionally, Patricio actively leads the Chile-US Chamber of Commerce as President and has been appointed on numerous Advisory Boards as well as Board of Directors.

Camila joins the professional team of AeroNex after more than 10 years working at IATA, (recognized International Association of Air Transport) in the area of External Relations and Communications.

She has a degree in Communications from George Mason University in Virginia, and comes from Washington, DC, where she was born and discovered her passion for international relations.

Her professional experience has allowed her to participate in multiple projects and campaigns to improve and benefit civil and commercial aviation in Latin America and the USA. She has also specialized in the establishment of external relations where he has worked in many regional programs that have benefited the airline industry, creating a positive link with airlines, airports and civil aviation authorities.

Today, her commitment to maintaining her link with the aviation industry has motivated her to join the AeroNex team as Director of Business Development, cultivating fruitful relationships with companies in the USA and Latin America.

Thais is graduated from Suffolk University, in Boston and she joins AeroNex in her capacity as Project Manager. Thais is based in Lima, Peru and brings value to the Aeronex team with her bilingual knowledge and her experience in project investigation and administration.

Carolina joins Aeronex as Social Media and Community Manager from Quindío, Colombia to take charge of the areas of information and development that includes social networks and mass dissemination through digital platforms. Carolina specializes in digital graphic art and systems where her knowledge contributes to the development and expansion of the projects in which Aeronex participates.

Diana, social communicator and journalist, joins Aeronex like editor-in-chief of the FlyLinkers project with an experience of 19 years, where she is responsible for the news daily selection of content for FlyLinkers.com, the FlyLinkers News portal and social networks contributing to our team their knowledge in the area of writing and content creation.

Paola, with experience and studies in accounting and finance from Medellin Colombia, is linked to Aeronex as Business Analyst, supporting the Aeronex Cargo team in different logistics and administrative activities.

Patricia joins the Aeronex team as a Business Developer. She graduated from St.Thomas University in Miami with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Cybersecurity & Data Analytics. Patricia deals with market opportunities to provide services and solutions in the Aviation Industry in the United States, Latin America, and the Caribbean. 

Today one of the threats that concern most companies are cybersecurity attacks. To this end, Aeronex has created a division called Aeronex Tech that will provide technological solutions that protect small and medium-sized companies. Not only of eventual attacks but also of operating on robust and efficient platforms.
